	Embellishments, etc. One or two day workshop All skill levels - Design - Hand Techniques Quilters will combine basic blocks, embroidery and "beads, bangles, buttons and bows" to make their own special quilt. Melody will guide you in the creative use of fabric, buttons, threads and beads. Learn an easy way to make a bow, how to create texture with ribbons and lace and to make folded ribbon roses. Supply List Please bring the project you wish to embellish and any of the items listed which you would like to use. Notions Basic sewing supplies (scissors, needles, thread, etc.) Embroidery needles Chenille needles (for silk ribbon work) Marking pen or pencil (appropriate color) Embellishments (You do not need to bring all of the following, but remember 'variety is the spice of life') Embroidery floss, silk button hole twist, metallic thread, pearl cotton-assorted colors Beads Nymo thread (beading thread) Buttons Brass charms Ribbon - scraps - 1/16" wide to 1" wide: satin, textured, picot-edged, velvet, grosgrain Silk Ribbon - assorted colors Lace or lace motifs Ribbon roses Trinkets Lace Lace motifs Doilies Cording Chiffon fabric Bridal veil Optional, but nice Lamp, if you need one Show and tell Contact me about availability and fee schedule
